How do Something Blue Started |

Created by Tracy James in June 2006, do Something Blue intends to spread Blues Dancing in Los Angeles and Southern California. But this idea really began 3,000 miles from Los Angeles.
While attending the Savannah College of Art & Design(SCAD) in Savannah, GA, Tracy was exposed to Blues Dancing. It wasn't until later that year, when she walked into the Blues Room at the Atlanta Lindy Exchange(ATLX), that she was hooked. Apon returning to school she realized if she was ever going to blues dance as much as she desired to, she would have to learn to lead as well as follow.
Tracy carried this idea with her when she returned back to her native Chicago in Summer 2005, and then onto to Los Angeles later that year.
When not dancing, Tracy works as an animator, and is constantly looking for more venues to build, as well as one of her own. |
